Everyone in the world knows the old joke. When the boy meets the father for the first time, he also meets the father’s favorite firearm. “I have a .45 and a shovel,” has been said more than once.
There was a point in time in our history, not all that long ago, where this conversation was expected. The patriarch’s job is to protect the family, and this old joke is a way to not so subtly let young men know that their decisions will have consequences.
Wait a minute. Joke? No. For most of American history, it wasn’t a joke at all. It was deadly serious. You endanger a man’s child, and you can expect to face deadly results. We used to take care of our own. We used to be allowed to take care of our own.
This old trope didn’t start passing for humor until fairly recently. America got too sensitive to endure a father protecting his children. Somehow, insane leftists tried to distort it into some disgusting sexual fetish. So, the conversation lost some of its edge and became a joke.
Now, even that is too much for the tolerant left to handle. In this video, you can see how a harmless attempt at humor has been twisted by these disgusting liberals. You can watch this insanity unfold in a short two minutes.
The left will have a stroke when ever they see a gun in a picture. But when a drunk driver kills someone they don’t have any problem with pictures of cars. They forget cars and other vehicles with drunks at the wheel kill more people in a month than guns do in years.
I think that this picture is funny as all get up. I do not think the young man is upset and the daughter has a grin on her face and things Dad is just being funny.
It still that way today for me! You hurt one of my grown kids or my grandchildren & there will be no place you can hide from me! My daughter wanted a t-shirt for her daughter that said you mess with me & my grandpa will shoot your butt!
Ronne I totally agree with you. Guns are almost last on the list of things used to kill people. I know that WE the PEOPLE will stand with our 2nd Amendment and make sure that it remains part of our Constitution.

Leave it to the piss headed left to bitch about a father letting people know that he will protect his daughter no matter what happens. those people would let some thug rape their daughter right in front of them before using a firearm to protect her. I just can’t believe these people.

People really need to get over it! It’s funny; just like years ago when you heard of shotgun weddings! When my 1st daughter was little; my buddy and I said we would be waiting on the front porch cleaning our guns every time she had a date coming over! That was hilarious!
