Mexico Reopens Investigation into Obama’s ‘Fast and Furious’ Operation

For those who might be fuzzy on the details of Operation Fast and Furious, here’s a brief recap. The Obama Administration worked with the ATF to plan a sting operation. The idea was to sell guns to Mexican cartels and then track the movement of those guns through the operations. The idea was to map the logistics of weapons distribution among the cartels to get a better idea of how to deal with the violence they were wreaking on all of Mexico.

That might have been the plan, but that’s not at all what happened. Instead, we sold a bunch of weapons to known violent criminals (who are terrorists in all but official classification). The money for those sales went missing. All but a handful of the weapons went missing. One of the few we did manage to track was used to murder a U.S. Border Patrol agent. This is about as colossal a failure as you can get. Our own weapons were used to kill an American.

Even worse is that the Obama Administration engaged in a complete cover up. Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder was held in contempt of Congress for refusing to provide information on the entire thing (sound familiar?). He gladly wore that contempt as a badge — claiming that he was doing the right thing as Obama’s wingman. Those are his own words.

Well, this ‘old news’ story is coming back around. Those illegal weapons weren’t just a problem for the U.S. They’ve been a huge problem in Mexico too. Who could have thought that supplying arms to drug dealers would be a bad idea?

The Mexican government now wants to know who was involved on the Mexico end. It turns out that this was a two-state failure. Obama played ball with corrupt Mexican officials. When he covered up his own scandal, he made it impossible for Mexico to determine who was helping the cartels on their side. Mexico wants documents unsealed so they can try and drain their own swamp.

To the surprise of absolutely no one, the deep state is resisting these requests from Mexico. They want to keep sealed any information that could expose Obama as a less than ideal president.

It’s important to make sure this isn’t downplayed. When these deep state figures deny this information to Mexico, they aren’t just playing politics. They’re empowering the cartels that continue to murder innocent people at an unparalleled rate. These obstructions are directly contributing to the deaths of people in Mexico. It’s not a game.

Once again, the far left and the deep state are proving that they care far more about political points than people’s lives. It drives all of their decisions, and you better believe that they will happily sell your life for a chance to gain a little more political power. We need this information to be made public, and we need it now.
