The Washington Post is the incarnation of mainstream media. They are one of the largest and most popular outlets in the country. Worse, they claim to be impartial. Anyone with half a brain can see their obvious bias, but even by their own standards, they sometimes jump so far over the line that no excuses can be tolerated. This is one of those times.
You might remember this story. Back in May, a deranged shooter opened fire on a diner in Oklahoma City. He shot three people before armed citizens intervened. The two heroes, Carlos Nazario and Bryan Wittle, independently heard the gunshots, grabbed their own weapons and engaged the shooter. They both scored hits on the shooter, and he ultimately died from his wounds.
Because of their swift action, the shooter was not able to follow up on his attempted murders, and all three of the innocent gunshot victims survived. Nazario and Wittle had never met before the incident, and they did not know about each other until they had both fired shots at the shooter. They then swiftly coordinated their efforts and saved the day.
It’s also important to know that they both acted well within the law. Every state allows for armed citizens to utilize deadly force in the defense of others, and that’s exactly what happened here. Both men have been heralded as local heroes by the public and police in Oklahoma City. Neither man faced any charges for their action.
It seems like a cut and dried case, but you can trust mainstream media to want to distort this into something disgusting. Enter the Washington Post.
You’ll quickly see where the post was going with this. The title of the article is “There Were Three Shooters.” If they wrote nothing else defamatory, that would still be too much. Implying that the heroes who stopped a shooting and saved lives were in fact part of the problem is the worst level of dishonesty.
It’s already enough to condemn the Post as propagandist garbage that should never print anything again. Unfortunately, the rest of the article was far worse.
Just the next line, the tagline, read “Two Oklahoma citizens killed an active shooter, and it’s not as simple as it sounds.” This is again an outright lie. You just saw how simple it all was.
While it does acknowledge that Nazario and Wittle were not accomplices of the mass shooter, the article is intended to imply that they made the situation worse by having guns. Because, in the Post’s eyes, simply carrying a gun is an act of pure evil tantamount to mass shootings.
Beyond vilifying heroes for their actions, the article goes on to suggest that the actions of our two heroes were unnecessary. They say that the police were on the scene within one minute of the first 911 call. First, that’s an obvious exaggeration. Second, it doesn’t matter because the situation was resolved before any police arrived. It’s self-evident proof that citizen intervention was entirely necessary and clearly saved lives.
Then, the article takes its most unforgivable turn. It claims that the shooter didn’t deserve to die because none of his victims died. The Post seems to think that a mass shooter who gets foiled in his attempt to kill as many people as possible isn’t as bad as a murderer who is actually successful. The Post says that the shooter’s crimes did not warrant the death penalty, thus the true crime in all of this was that his life was cut short by vigilantes.
We can’t gloss over this. Isn’t the left comprised of champions against victim blaming? Do they honestly believe that the intervention of these two men was somehow a worse act than the guard who sat back and watched a psychopath kill 17 children at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School? How is foiling mass murder a bad or tragic thing?
This is the most insidious and dangerous level of propaganda. The left hates guns and the autonomy they provide so much that they will insinuate that saving lives is somehow worse than being a mass shooter.
Anger. Outrage. None of it is enough. There are two courses to take. First, we must make sure the Washington Post never receives another dime of revenue ever again. If you think this is the worst they can do, you don’t understand the climate of the situation.
Second, we have to stay active. Above all, don’t allow these charlatans to sway the impending elections. Vote in 2nd Amendment supporters and keep America safe. If we do any less, we hand control of our country over to these monsters.

What does the left want? Do they expect citizens that use legal firearms that they are legally carrying to find out if anyone is killed by an active shooter before they can dispatch them? This is crazy, You don’t have the time to wait to find out how many people have been shot or possibly killed. How does the person that made this comment know exactly how far away the police were? Count a minute and see how many more shots could have been fired by the shooter and how many more people could have been shot or possibly killed. Dial 911 and die. When seconds count the police are only minutes away. A 9mm bullet travels faster than a police car. The police always arrive in time to do the investigation of the shooting.

It is hard to prove a negative. How many others could have been killed and/or wounded if no one had acted? Police are always minutes away when seconds count. What if shooter had been at the Post’s building would these hypocrites still want armed citizens to stand down and wait for the police? If they and their coworkers were only being wounded and not killed would they still be willing to have the armed citizens present just cower under the desks with them until the police get there? I don’t think so they would want anyone willing to risk their lives to do so to save their hypocritical asses! The cops would have used their guns to stop the shooter when they finally got there. Stop whining and get armed and trained so you to can save lives and ensure a free state. Tyrants, terrorists, crazies and criminals will think twice about misusing their guns when they fear many trained armed citizen that knows how to properly use their arms!!!

By definition a vigilante is a member of a vigilance group, a vigilance group is an ORGANIZED group of citizens who patrolled the streets and enforced the law without government consent. Many of them from BEFORE cities had any kind of police force eventually evolved into the government approved police forces cities use today.
Since the men who STOPPED the Would be Murderer from finishing off his victims and attacking more did not even know each other before the incident much less belong to an ORGANIZED group out LOOKING for criminals it is incorrect usage of the word.
First it would have taken more than one minute to get the information to the 911 people and have them dispatch officers to the scene after that it would depend on how close the nearest police officers are to the scene. In most cases it takes five minutes or more for a response to arrive when a 911 call is made.
Yet when the VICTIMS only have seconds to respond to save themselves or others the likes of the Washington post want civilians UNARMED and hiding under a table hoping the police will get there before the murderer reaches them.
There are lawsuits over this type of action taken by those who were actually hired as security guards to protect people who ACTED in this manner.
like that dumb commercial they felt they were just there to MONITOR and report what happened like the liberal propaganda spouts instead of actually stopping the crime and saving lives.

I am a small woman over 65 years of age. I am VERY grateful that these two brave, quick thinking men were on hand when the shooting erupted. If fact he was a God send for those unarmed victims and potential victims. How anyone can write a convoluted OP ED about this incident putting down the men who shot and killed the shooter is unbelievable. It worries me about the future and the safety of my children and grandchildren that more solid citizens are not prepared to come to their aid.

It appears that the Washington Post is, at best, as incompetent as the shooter. Perhaps, similarly, its lies are not an abuse of freedom of the press because few persons with average or greater intelligence will believe them.
These 2 heroes should sue the Wash-Compost for defamation of character, and their legal fees should be covered by donations of $1 from every Concealed Carry Permitted American and augmented by the NRA, NAGR, USCCA and every other gun friendly organization. Together that should be enough clout to put WaPo out of business.
