In addition to protecting the Second Amendment rights of American gun owners, the NRA has always been an ardent supporter of the US military. Now that our military is taking fire in the form of disrespectful and ill-timed protests centered around the national anthem, the NRA is speaking up.
In a newly released ad, the NRA enlists the help of former Navy Seal Dom Raso to explain just what the flag and the anthem mean to him and his brothers and sisters in arms. It’s a heartfelt ad that hopefully will shed some light on why so many are taking offense to the NFL players who are choosing to disrespect our nation’s flag.
Regardless how you feel about the merit of their protests, the US flag and the national anthem are not appropriate outlets for demonstrating those protests. These symbols represent too much to all Americans – especially those who have fought and died for this country – for us to sit back and see them be disrespected and shamed in a form of protest.
Watch as Mr. Raso gives Fox Business News an interview on why he made the ad and what his thoughts are on the continuation of the NFL protests.
