Far-left anti-gunners want to supplant civil rights for individuals, like those in the Bill of Rights, with “human rights” for entire societies. They are willing to do away with individual rights to promote socialist policies – much like National Socialists did in Germany, and Marxists have done in China and the Soviet Union, among many other examples.
When individual rights get in the way of socialists totalitarian desires, “human rights” become the rallying cry. The term “human rights” enables socialist to deprive people of basic civil rights – such as the right to bear arms and effectively defend yourself. It even could deny you the healthcare if the socialist regime decides your life no longer merits the effort. Just ask parents of the U.K.’s Charlie Gard. The socialist healthcare regime there refused services to help their child live and thrive.
When people exercise the right to bear arms and defend themselves, they become less pliable and more assertive of civil rights and individual rights. That conflicts greatly with the far-left notions of what will make the world a better place. The one right the far-left most want to do away with is the right to bear arms in the United States.
Amnesty International and other far-left organizations pushing socialist policies around the globe claim firearms are a particular threat to youth. They say no one should have a right to own or possess firearms.
Amnesty International recently published highly questionable polling data suggesting the world’s youth fear firearms – especially youth in the United States. UK-based Amnesty International describes itself as a non-profit organization promoting global human rights and claims 7 million members around the world.
Amnesty International says the Second Amendment is not a human right, but rather an individual right that tramples upon human rights. As such, the Second Amendment – and the individual right to bear arms – is a barrier to human rights, rather than a supporter of the same, according to Amnesty International. It claims polling data affirms so.
The group says about 32 percent of 500 youth recently polled in the U.S. cited “violent crime” as their greatest concern. That “violent crime” includes crimes committed with firearms, knives, blunt objects, bare hands, and any other type of violence. The 500 youth polled ranged from ages 18 to 25.
“The finding reflects ‘concerns over the lack of action by political leaders in the country to address the human rights crisis’ of gun violence,” Amnesty International claims.
A firearms “crisis” has been declared by the far-left. A “crisis” generates emotion that trumps reason and enables the far-left to push policies that no sane voter ever would support. That is why left-wing organizations, like Amnesty International and Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety in the U.S., are declaring the Second Amendment to be a human rights crisis.
“Amnesty International believes that young people want to see systemic transformations. They want a reckoning with the climate emergency, with the abuse of power, they want to see a completely different future blossoming, instead of the wreckage that we are heading towards,” Amnesty International Secretary General Kumi Naidoo.
In other words: the world’s youth want socialism and are willing to give up civil and individual rights to get it.
Hong Kong is the best example of why the far-left want individual rights overturned in favor of so-called “human rights.” Chinese police recently shot pro-Democracy protestors in separate instances in Hong Kong. If Amnesty International and organizations like it have their way, the U.S. would become more like China and less like our freedom-loving Founding Fathers intended. God help us all.

My sister started hunting ducks at 6 years old. I bought my first shotgun at 8 years old. My brother was around same age. We have owned guns for 65-77 years. Nobody has ever been shot by any of us by our own guns. I fought a war in Vietnam. There we could not shoot until shot at. Yes I killed a few! I do not know if my brother did or not he has never said. I never asked. But we still all own guns. My daughter said Dad I don’t want to learn to shoot. She lives in Potland and conceiled Carries. She took classes to do that.

At the age of 13 my dad bought me my first BB gun and taught me the right and wrongs of owning it. You don’t shot what you aren’t going to eat, that was when he got me my first .22. I, was 16 then. At age 23 was drafted and served this Great Country of ours for 30 years. I’ve been to Nam and we weren’t allowed to shot till we were fired upon some rule. Yes I’ve killed for it was them or me or my other brothers that would of been hit or killed. Yes we lost friends. I, made a promise to never hurt another human if I, made it out alive from there, so far have kept my word. I, still own the gun my dad bought for me as well as others. Let some gun grabber try to take them away, don’t think so. I, think I, earned to right to keep and bear arms that I, have.

right now the Supreme Court of wussies has a case. it is about warrantless seizure. a couple had a fight, woman went to hotel. called hubby next day, no answer. sent cops for a wellness check. cops arrive, take hubby to hospital, baker act. wife arrives home, cops are there. cop says your husband told us we could confiscate his guns. she leads them to gun safe, gives them two revolvers. they leave. husband comes home hours later. she ask why did he give the cops the guns? he says I didn’t. she says they said you agreed and for me to give them. took civil suits to get guns back.. now, in Supreme Court. no where on paperwork, did cops say man a threat, and hospital said not crazy. The way I see it, if they decide to go down this road we will now have to determine the definition of human. With the number of dirt bags being released from prison, or not being put there at all. I’m almost hopeful sometimes that people who believe in this BS are put into life and death situations, where they are defenseless. I don’t give a fig about human rights. those words dont mean a thing to me. what does matter are the words, MY RIGHTS. every American Patriot should think of themselves, family, GOD, etc, and let the mush mouths tree hugging morons scream human rights until they loose their voices.
they should be placing billboards in all the crime-ridden blue cities with this message. people have been shooting others since weapons were invented. the cavemen used rocks. now the cavemen in blue cities have evolved into using guns. they are a status symbol in some ethnic groups. preach to them. we have the right to bear arms. that is a constitutional standard. they need to spend money to find out why certain groups have no impulse control, and act out whatever thought crosses their minds. lack of communication skills is one major issue. it is so much easier for them to kill someone than to work out their differences. there should be mandatory classes for impulse control, and how to handle themselves. I have never seen such extreme violence in these groups. and it is getting worse, since the criminal justice system has turned into just that. justice for the criminals. no jail time, no mandatory psychiatric medicine. if the do-gooder groups wanted to achieve their goals, they would lobby for these to be mandatory in every violence trial. start early. kids in the ghetto are militant as soon as they can walk and talk. why? lack of social skills by the parents. kids emulate what they see and hear. the schools dont help the problem either. you have teachers with mental illness teaching their students their mindset. there is no screening for these teachers. in fact, some institutions welcome this anti-social behavior. an example of this is PSU. in the northwest. they are proud to turn out volatile students. after all, they teach them they are victims of society and that they are “owed”. CRT furthers this mind-set, as does the idea of reparations. no one is owed a thing. YOU EARN IT. Let’s see; there were no civil rights violations in Germany after most civilians had guns confiscated. And it didn’t happen in Cuba, or Venezuela either. Or Hungary with both the Nazis or Soviets. On a different view, human history proves that the 2nd Ammendment is the protector of human rights. No better example is needed than to see what is happening in Ukraine where Russia is trampling on human rights as it invades Ukraine. Now Ukraine is battling to protect its citizens from invasion and communist totalitarianism putting up much more resistance than Russia imagined. Ukraine has laws that give its people’s the same rights to bear arms that our 2nd Ammendment does allowing its citizens to fight alongside with its military self armed and with additional arms supplied by Ukraine’s government and have so far held Russia’s military from the quick takeover of Ukraine!! Yes, the Right of Self Protection in action again. By the way, a historical look into why Japan never invaded our West coast after their victory at Pearl Harbor can be summed up by one of their famous Admirals saying “We can’t invade America because there is a gun behind every tree”. Thus, the 2nd Ammendment helped to prevent Japan’s invasion of our Continental shores!
