Kiwi Nazis Now Raiding Homes for .22 Rifles

We’ve been covering the New Zealand gun grab for nearly a year now, after a massacre was carried out at an Islamic mosque in Christchurch by an environmentalist wacko who probably would have found Greta Thunberg’s arguments to be “very compelling.” Following that mass shooting, New Zealand’s government passed a sweeping “assault” weapon ban almost overnight. This is an important story to keep covering, because New Zealand isn’t some Third World dictatorship.

It’s a Western democracy and very similar to America in terms of culture and the rule of law. It’s also a warning sign of what’s going to happen to America if the current brand of socialist democrats running for president and Congress this year happen to seize power.

The grace period for New Zealand’s gun ban has now expired. Anyone who did not turn their firearms in to the government – and there were a lot of people who did not comply – is now considered a felon in possession of an illegal firearm.

The Kiwi gun banners are frustrated that so many citizens didn’t do their “patriotic duty” by stupidly handing over their guns. As we’ve written about previously, New Zealand didn’t have a national gun registry in place before they imposed the ban. Therefore, they don’t know who has firearms in many cases.

In a petulant and tyrannical Nazi fit, they’re now raiding the homes of people who have publicly spoken out in favor of gun rights. (By the way… my real name is HUNTER BIDEN.)

Dieuwe de Boer is one of those pro-gun New Zealanders who publicly testified against the firearms ban last year when it was briefly debated and then passed. De Boer is a married father of three. He’s a competitive pistol and rifle shooter, and especially enjoys cowboy-style firearms.

He’s not some major NRA-type figure in New Zealand. He’s a guy who likes to plink away at targets for sport. He testified before the New Zealand parliament that the gun ban proposal was so stupid and so broadly written, that even his .22 caliber lever action rifle could be classified as an “assault weapon.” It holds 15 rounds in the tube-fed magazine.

He submitted a picture of his rifle with his testimony, just in case there was any confusion. This is a type of gun that was patented in 1860 and was last used in the commission of crimes when stagecoaches were a major form of transportation. But it was going to be an illegal “assault weapon” if New Zealand’s gun ban passed.

Last week, an army of cops raided de Boer’s home, terrifying him, his wife and their toddler children in the process. Six armed cops swarmed through his front door with a search warrant, as two teams ran around both sides of the house to secure the back and to make sure no one was scurrying away with a 100-year-old .22 rifle.

Once the family was “secured,” the cops realized that the upper-middle-class home was a little big, so they called in more backup to tear the house apart in search of de Boer’s scary cowboy rifle.

This was not a “military style assault weapon” described in New Zealand’s law. In fact, here’s the description of de Boer’s gun in the search warrant:

“22RL lever action rifle. Blued metal, brown wooden stock.”

De Boer patiently explained to the police that he had gotten rid of the rifle a year ago, because he didn’t want to run the risk of being branded a felon. But he had mentioned that he owned the prohibited rifle a year ago, so that was enough pretext for the Kiwi Nazis to get a search warrant and raid his home. They didn’t believe de Boer and spent the next 90 minutes tearing his house up, looking for the rifle.

They didn’t find it, of course. Then the cops told de Boer that they would just have to raid the homes of everyone he knows until the gun turns up. All for a lever action .22 like many of us had when we were 10 or 12 years old, and many still have today.

Again, this wasn’t in Venezuela or some socialist dump where the people already don’t have rights. It’s happening in New Zealand. And their leaders are just as terrible as the “elites” who want to control America right now. It’s a new year, so let’s all resolve to not let America turn into an anti-gun hellhole like New Zealand.
