The New Zealand parliament may have set a world record for passing draconian gun-grabbing laws after the Christchurch mosque shooting. Just five days after the shooting – before any of the funerals had even been held – the Kiwi government banned “military-style” semiautomatic rifles and all firearms with detachable magazines that can hold more than five rounds. “Turn your guns in, Mr. and Mrs. New Zealand!”
Other than a fiat declaration by somebody like Mao or Stalin, it doesn’t get much quicker than that. The excitement of the Democrat Party in America and the mainstream media is palpable. This is exactly what they want to see happen here. Which is why they’re too stupid to recognize the truth of what’s really happening in New Zealand. Let’s look at some of the many, many lies we’re being told about New Zealand right now.
First, New Zealanders are not nearly as enthusiastic about gun control as the lying media liars want us to think. Their simpering, cowardly government politicians are, but many of the people are not. In fact, Gun City – the same New Zealand chain store where the shooter bought his rifle – sold out of AR-15s the same afternoon that the shooting took place. It’s obvious that some Kiwis have seen the writing on the wall for a while with their tyrannical government and figured they had better buy the guns while they still could.
Second, only 37 guns were surrendered to police after the confiscation law was passed. Many of those 37 were from three households and one of those households was a widow who turned in her husband’s gun collection.
New Zealand has a population of about 5 million people and has approximately 1.2 million guns in circulation. Unless those guns are all revolvers or single-shot muzzle loaders (they’re not), 99.999999% of Kiwis are refusing to comply with the order to surrender their weapons. This is a good thing. We’ve seen similar examples of civil disobedience in states such as Massachusetts and New York where government tyrants try to force gun owners to surrender their firearms. Yeah, sure… we’ll get right on that.
Third, New Zealand has a sizeable population of military veterans who are smart and patriotic enough to never turn in their guns. I didn’t realize this until I looked it up, but New Zealand has stood toe-to-toe with America in every armed conflict since the Boxer Rebellion in China in 1900. They’re rugged people: Quiet, polite, tough as nails, not willing to take any BS and for the most part, live-and-let-live. Their vets are no more likely to turn in their guns than ours are.
Fourth, America is under no obligation to “follow New Zealand’s lead,” as Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have stated. We couldn’t follow them on this even if we wanted to. New Zealand is a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary system – one-party rule, in other words. Whichever party controls the most seats gets to appoint the Prime Minister.
There is no effective opposition party in that type of system, which is why the government there was able to implement gun control so swiftly. The only way that New Zealand-style gun control could be implemented here is if the freedom-hating Democrats controlled the House, Senate, White House and Supreme Court. Controlling the House of Representatives and CNN just isn’t enough power for them to implement this type of gun control.
And fifth, “50 people were killed in a mass shooting in a mosque. Therefore, to keep your family safe in whatever house of worship you attend, please turn in your guns.”
Yeah, right. Would you like to back up and take another run at that one, Skippy?
Keeping the children safe, preventing gun violence and all the other excuses that anti-gunners use to try to get you to surrender your guns is really about one thing: Power. They want total power and the ability to rule over and control every aspect of the economy and your personal life, right down to the amount of toilet paper you are allowed to use on a daily basis.
They want to take guns away from freedom-loving people because your gun is the ultimate veto to their tyranny. Don’t believe their lives. The only legitimate response to atrocities like the one in Christchurch is to buy more guns and ammo to protect you and yours.

I served 24 years in the U. S. Marine Corps. Sure, I will turn in my bullets…. One at a time downrange. Then, they can have my empty gun, when they pry it from my cold dead fingers.
I have also been Police officer for 21 years. Right now, not a single officer I know of, will attempt to confidante any U. S. Citizens weapons. The 2nd Amendment is still a right. It is Law. Change one Amendment, then all are meaningless.
Simply stated, we must retain our firearms to prevent becoming puppets of a tyrannical government. Which part of, “Shall not be infringed upon” do they not understand?
When guns are outlawed only outlaws and governments will have guns. Does that sense make sense to you? History does not reflect positively on those that relinquished personal protection “guns”. Governments and outlaws have reeked havoc and mass exterminations of groups that have given up guns on a flawed emotional ploy of “security”. Think about it, police can only react after a crime has been committed. They cannot “protect” you and yours as a scene unfolds like a loaded gun in the hands of an experienced user, on scene can. I agree! why would you disarm your country when you had an attack on Moss! Your disarming the good guys and the bad guys who really want a gun can get one? The only reason to disarm the country is to have blanket control on the population and not allow your citizens from protecting them selves from a corrupt gov. The perp was chased (I heard) out of the second site when one of the Moslems Threw something at the perp, who dropped his shotgun, the thrower picked up the shotgun and chased the perp away. The shotgun was empty.

The hero at the second mosque grabbed a credit card machine and went out to confront the shooter. That intimidated the shooter, thinking it might be a gun. The next logical step for Democratic gun-grabbers is to try to outlaw owning a credit card machine.
I read thru the piece and could not find any list of lies, or proof of lies by the media. True, the article was informative, but I was waiting to see specific lies and their counter-argument. I was grateful to read in the comments more information regarding the armed victim in the second mosque, but I still don’t have any clear picture of how that came down because of mixed reports. What lies there are being carefully covered up by media?
