Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 18, 2026

American Gun News (the “Site”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a publication of LOP Solutions, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect from you, how we use it, when we share it, your rights, and how to exercise them. By using this Site or subscribing to our email or SMS programs, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are

LOP Solutions, LLC
5036 Dr. Phillips Blvd., Suite 203
Orlando, FL 32819
Email: support@americangunnews.com

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly

  • Name (first and last) when you subscribe
  • Email address when you subscribe or contact us
  • Mobile phone number if you choose to opt in to SMS alerts
  • Your consent records — which boxes you checked, the exact language of the disclosure shown, the date/time, the IP address, and the user-agent of the device you used. We retain these records as required by CAN-SPAM, the TCPA, and applicable state law.
  • Messages you send us through contact forms, email, or postal mail

Information collected automatically

  • Log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, timestamps
  • Cookies and similar technologies: session cookies, preference cookies, analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics), advertising cookies if and when we partner with ad networks
  • Device and usage data: approximate geographic location based on IP, device identifiers, interactions with email and SMS we send (opens, clicks, deliveries)

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To deliver the email newsletter you subscribed to
  • To deliver SMS alerts you opted in to
  • To respond to your questions and messages
  • To improve the Site, our editorial content, and our subscriber experience
  • To protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats
  • To comply with law and respond to lawful requests
  • To advertise our own content and the products of partners whose offerings align with our editorial mission (you can opt out at any time)

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not share your phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes.

4. Email Program — CAN-SPAM Compliance

Our email program complies with the federal CAN-SPAM Act. Every commercial email we send will:

  • Identify itself as an advertisement when required
  • Use accurate “From,” “To,” and routing information
  • Use a subject line that reflects the content
  • Include our valid physical postal address
  • Provide a clear, working unsubscribe mechanism — and we will honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days

To unsubscribe from email: click the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any email we send, or email support@americangunnews.com with “UNSUBSCRIBE” in the subject line.

5. SMS Program — TCPA Compliance

Our SMS program complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA guidelines, and applicable state law. By opting in, you expressly consent to receive recurring, autodialed marketing and informational text messages from American Gun News at the mobile number you provide. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

  • Message frequency: typically 4–10 messages per month
  • Message and data rates may apply — check with your wireless carrier
  • To opt out: reply STOP to any message we send. You will receive one final confirmation message.
  • For help: reply HELP to any message, or email support@americangunnews.com
  • Supported carriers: AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, and most other major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and (when we partner with ad networks) deliver relevant advertising. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; if you do, some parts of the Site may not function properly.

We do not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals because there is no industry standard for what they mean. If you want to opt out of analytics, you can install browser extensions that block analytics scripts.

7. Third Parties Who Process Data on Our Behalf

We may share personal information with service providers who help us operate the Site and our subscriber programs, including:

  • Email service providers (to send the newsletter)
  • SMS aggregators and short-code providers (to send text messages)
  • Hosting, security, and CDN providers
  • Analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Advertising partners (only if you have not opted out)

Each of these providers is bound by contract to use your information only to deliver services for us and not for their own marketing.

8. Disclosure for Legal Reasons

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order; to protect our rights, property, or safety; to investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents; or in connection with a sale, merger, or acquisition of our business.

9. Your Rights

All users

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Opt out — withdraw consent for email or SMS at any time (see Sections 4 and 5)

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, the right to correct, the right to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” (we do not sell, but you can opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. To exercise these rights, email support@americangunnews.com with “California Rights Request” in the subject line.

EU / EEA / UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, you have rights under the GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing. Our lawful bases for processing are: (a) your consent (email/SMS subscriptions), (b) our legitimate interests (operating the Site, security, fraud prevention), and (c) legal obligations. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise GDPR rights, email support@americangunnews.com.

10. Data Retention

We retain subscriber records for as long as your subscription is active. When you unsubscribe, we retain your contact information on a “do not contact” list to ensure we honor your request. We retain consent records (the audit trail of what you agreed to and when) for as long as required by applicable law, typically not less than four (4) years.

11. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children’s Privacy

This Site is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Effective Date.” Continued use of the Site or our subscriber programs after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
