Tucker Carlson had a powerful segment on his show recently. He exclaimed that gun control is really a form of class warfare — aimed at controlling the population more than firearms themselves. It was an impassioned speech and full of truth, but what did he really mean? How do you get from gun control to class warfare? And, why is the left so bent on such an agenda?
The Three Pillars of Control
Obviously, if you want to control a population you have to disarm them. Anyone with half a brain knows this. The reverse logic is also easy. Anyone who wants to disarm a population wants to control it. There are still a number of Democrats who are smart enough to not say this out loud, but their “secret” agenda is hardly a mystery. Before we dive into population statistics and see what gun control really means to the left, let’s briefly discuss these other two pillars.
The second is also an easy guess: money. The left hates free market economics. If anyone can make anything of themselves without relying on the state, then what good is the Democratic Party? They’ve regularly announced their desire for democratic socialism. They want to incrementally regulate the economy until it is no longer free at all and they are fully in charge of economic distribution and their ideal class system.
The third pillar is often overlooked by those of us on the right. It’s literal population control. Another term that will ring a bell is reproductive legislation. The fight for abortion isn’t a fight for freedom; it’s the first necessary step towards state-level eugenics. The left is less likely to align their reproductive priorities around race (at first), but they would love to be able to tell “rednecks” that they aren’t allowed to have children.
The Hatred of Autonomy
In America today, we’re still a few steps away from the left having control over reproductive rights. We aren’t far away from them instilling gun regulations that infringe our rights and reduce the autonomy of right-leaning voters.
When you really look at it, a self-sufficient citizen is antithetical to the socialist utopia they chase. That’s why they hate hunting. It has nothing to do with a love of animals. If you can feed yourself without relying on the system, you’re harder to control. This extends to self-defense and every other form of autonomy. Conservative values teach self-reliance, and being armed is a major facet of true autonomy. The liberals have to take away our guns. It’s essential, and they’ve slowly adjusted their tactics.
The Raw Numbers
So how does this equate to class warfare? A few statistics can clarify. Thankfully, there is no national firearm registry, so we can only estimate how many Americans own guns. Best estimates today place that number between 32 and 42 percent of all households. Consider another number. Between 32 and 42 percent of Americans openly poll as Republicans. That’s no simple coincidence.
More numbers show that rural, land-owning Americans are far more likely to have a cache of weapons. What’s more, those Americans are likely to use those firearms. Some cases are matters of home defense and the like, but the majority of shots fired are against wildlife. Poisonous snakes, rabid beasts and other dangerous animals are a part of life outside of major metropolitan areas.
Without weaponry, those dangers kill a lot more people. Part of the left’s plan to disarm us leaves the hardworking backbone of the breadbasket defenseless against everyday dangers. They know that gun control will literally kill conservatives, and they relish the idea.
The Strength of Narrative
There’s no question the Democrats are fully committed to all-out class warfare. We’ve seen it with their economic policies for decades. One of the most insidious components of this battle plan is in the left-wing narrative. They have completely vilified the NRA. They accuse any politician who backs the 2nd Amendment of having been bought by the NRA’s deep pockets. The absurdity of this claim is beyond stupid. At most, the NRA spends about $3 million a year lobbying. This is a drop in the bucket compared to major lobbying efforts. Planned Parenthood spent $38 million on the 2016 election alone.
The true power of the NRA is that they represent a large, passionate voting group. But, the left can’t acknowledge that Americans want guns for legitimate reasons. As always, they have to make it a moral issue because basic logic isn’t on their side.
The Real Police State
All of this is pointed at real goals. Progressives have already made moves to outlaw disagreeing with their politics. In many places, speech is being regulated. Being verbally mean or using the wrong pronoun for a person is a serious crime. It won’t be long before they feel justified in trying to outlaw voting Republican. Of course, to succeed in that, they’ll have to take away our guns, and that is why we have to fight at every turn.

I guess the bridge shooting in Britain where one cannot own guns, the Paris shootings, again where one cannot own a gun was just false news by Fox. Funny that is Switzerland, where people are encouraged to own weapons and there are no mass shootings is just a freak of nature. The mass killings in Canada are just ignored because its Canada and socialist countries do not have anything of that type occurring. I guess the shootings in Spain, Portugal, Slovenia and Germany are not noticed because of the rate per 100,000 people. Give me a break. I live in South Carolina where guns are as common as candy bars and , except for the FBI foul up in granting Roof a licence to buy a weapon and do the outrageous shooting at the A&E Church, we have very little mass shootings. M-13 gang came here and left. I guess they did not stand a chance with their knifes against armed and licensed individuals here.
Tucker Carlson is 100% correct. The radical left has taken control of the Demorat Party, academia, the media, and the bureaucracy. The ultimate goal of the left IS total control of the masses. Individual liberty and socialism/Marxism/Communism, however one wants to call it, can not co-exist. The left also knows that if the 2nd Amendment can be cast aside so can and so WILL all other constitutionally guaranteed freedoms.
I feel like gun control is the liberals attempt at controlling America, because if you were paying attention during the Obama administration, the Democrats are leaning towards communism, and there no way to control an armed America. So I say, never ever give up your guns. Then another thing I hope Trump does, and I think he will, is to vett the FBI, and get them back to being the elite law enforcement agency they used to be, they are not doing their job in protecting the American citizens as they used to. Those seventeen children in Florida did not have to die, I read that the person that commited that crime had been threatening to become a mass murderer multiple times before he actually did the deed, and if the FBI had read him right, those killings could have been averted. Plus even after it started if the law enforcement had done their job properly, there might have been a few killing, or maybe just woundings, but certainly not 17 deaths. That whole police department should be scrapped and start fresh with a new sheriff to start with and then new deputies. That sheriff that was in charge and those other law enforcement officers was a sham.

Add to Tucker Carlson’s very real explanation, the fact that the far left has told so many lies and unfactual ramblings makes them vulnerable, should the truth become undeniable and they know it. They also know that their deceit will make it very difficult for them to continue the free ride to destruction of our freedom and by doing that our, “One Nation Under God.” We must all hope and pray that the truth comes out soon and the socialists loose their power gained by giving all free riders everything they can. I love what Tucker said, 100% true. As a politician history buff, I have followed the Democrat Party and today it is more corrupt and anti-America than any time in its history. Democrats represent the worst America has to offer despite many very wealthy people and some Christians supporting it socialist platform. I am always surprised how supposedly intelligent people explain for what the DNC stands. Lawlessness, hate and lies are the hallmark of the DNC today. Those that wish to control the population by disarming it are generally surrounded by armed bodyguards and government representatives that insist that their own possession of firearms is necessary and legal while ours should not be. Our arrogant celebrities that preach to us in favor of gun control are generally protected 24/7 by armed bodyguards.
History reveals that nations that have been disarmed have failed to survive as populations of peoples living with freedoms of choice such as we have. Millions have been slaughtered by their own government.
Our founding fathers wise wise beyond measure in protecting our God given rights that no government should be enabled to remove. I will NEVER give up my right to own and maintain forearms. Though I do not need any permit whatsoever to bear arms, I maintain a concealed carry permit and several handguns, one or the other of which is always nearby….loaded and ready to fire.
