3 American Heroes Show Why Concealed Carry Saves Lives

Are you tired of hearing about the coronavirus yet? There’s good news. We won’t be talking about it at all today. Instead, we’re going to take a few minutes to celebrate genuine American heroes.

While we all have massive respect for our uniformed heroes in law enforcement and the military, one of the greatest things about this country is that anyone with courage can do the right thing and fight against the evil that exists in this world. Here are three unique stories about regular, everyday American heroes.

The Unnamed Joliet Hero

In Joliet, IL, a nightmare unfolded. It’s the exact nightmare scenario you might imagine when you decide to get a concealed carry permit.

The unnamed man was getting ready for work. He was an early riser, as it was 3:35 in the morning. When he went out to his car, two masked men confronted him. He tried to run back into his house, but one of the assailants shot him in the leg. Wounded and on the ground, this hero grabbed his concealed weapon and returned fire. The assailants fled and were picked up by the police. No one died.

This is a reminder of a vital habit. You have to have your gun on you for it to be any good — even if you’re just outside your own front door.

Protecting the Home in PA

We know that home invasions happen. It’s one of the primary reasons to own a firearm. We also know that they’re likely to happen when we least expect it and catch us completely off guard. An unnamed man in PA managed to conduct himself impressively when his home was invaded in the middle of the night.

The man heard intruders force their way through his front door. He grabbed his .357 and met them at the stairs. One of the intruders took a shot to the head, and that was the end of that. Fortunately, the DA ruled that our hero was within his rights to use deadly force to defend his home. Not every lawyer in this country is a gun-grabbing liberal after all.

The NC Bank Heist

Our third incident occurred in Charlotte, NC. A woman was grabbing cash at an ATM late in the night. Understanding that it wasn’t the safest time and place for her, she had her concealed weapon at the ready.

Five teenagers surrounded her car and tried to force their way in. She drew and fired. Her aim was true and hit one of the teens. The rest fled. The wounded teen was picked up by the police, and the woman was safe because she was diligent in her firearms preparedness.

These are all recent stories, and they happened across the country. Every day, real American heroes are stopping bad guys because they take the 2nd Amendment seriously. You’ll never hear about any of it through the mainstream media, but this is the reality of America. Take courage from these heroes, and keep fighting the good fight to protect our most important fundamental right.
