Democrats are working hard to remake the United States in the image they deem most acceptable – a socialist nation with virtually no individual rights. Problem is, the Second Amendment stands in their way. Well, that and the Electoral College, with the support of common-sense voters, thank goodness.
President Donald Trump, if he withstands an increasingly likely impeachment process, stands a good chance of winning another four years in office. Democrats, though, are pressing hard to ensure that does not happen. They aren’t sure they can beat Trump at the ballot box next year, so they want to impeach him to give themselves a better shot next year.
Democrats also are pushing hard to make the 2020 election about three primary things: Firearms, climate change, and racism. They want firearms removed, especially scary looking rifles, from the public domain. They use controversial “climate change” to push a blatantly socialist global agenda. That all adds up to one major push – turn the United States into a socialist nation, while declaring capitalism to be evil.
They can’t do that, though, with law-abiding civilians owning these rifles and other firearms – or even thinking it is okay to embrace and support the Second Amendment.
Democrats very much want to employ firearms policies like ones already in place in the U.K. and Venezuela. Those nations also have governmental systems much more akin to socialism than capitalism – especially in Venezuela.
Both nations, likewise, have very stringent firearm laws in place. The U.K. makes it impossible to buy or own military-style rifles, and virtually impossible to own and carry a firearm of any type. Venezuela, in 2012, banned civilian ownership of firearms altogether.
In both nations, the end result has been an increase in violent crimes. Venezuela in particular became a highly stratified society in which thugs, criminals and gangs willfully prey upon a disarmed populace.
Venezuela in 2017 ranked as the nation with the world’s highest murder rate – virtually none of which ever are solved. Police are scarce in the nation – much like urban centers in the United States, where criminals greatly outnumber police officers.
Great Britain, likewise, is facing an increasing rise in violent crime – including gun crimes. That is despite having some of the most stringent firearms laws of any western nation. Those crimes often involve the very same firearms banned in the U.K. – pistols.
In 1996, the U.K. banned civilian ownership of pistols after a school shooting occurred. That ban does not apply in Northern Ireland, where local residents have refused to give up their arms.
Elsewhere, though, you cannot own a firearm that is not a government-approved hunting rifle or shotgun. That means no pistols and no military-style rifles. Yet, several counties in Great Britain reported increasing rates of gun violence the past four years.
Criminals are smuggling banned arms at increasing rates. That means criminals are far better armed than the civilian population, which is a recipe for disaster. Just recently an Irish national was caught smuggling 60 firearms into the U.K. in his car.
In London, there have been multiple fatal shootings this month. Last month, a citizen opened fire on a pedestrian on a busy street outside of a pub using a pump-action shotgun. And four English counties have reported their gun crimes are the highest they’ve been in a decade.
Authorities in the U.K. say gun crimes and gun violence are rising, and they are powerless to stop it. So are law-abiding citizens, thanks to the firearms ban.
If Democrats prevail in the 2020 election or manage to impeach the President over yet more nonsense, law-abiding gun owners and 2A supporters could see their rights eroded and firearms potentially confiscated. That is the first step toward imposing a blatantly socialist agenda in the United States.
Venezuela banned all firearms, and criminals are running the streets. The U.K. banned handguns and military-style rifles, and is experiencing an upward trend in gun violence and related crimes. Even in New Zealand, where lawmakers recently banned military-style rifles, many are reluctant to turn in their banned arms. The nation’s street gangs already said they never will disarm themselves.
The big lesson here is, ultimately, gun bans only help criminals. While Democrats likely do not intend such consequences, recent history says that is the likeliest result.
