Roundup: Gun Defense Stories Ignored by Mainstream Media

Every year, hundreds of thousands of crimes are stopped by armed citizens. Good guys with guns save the day on a regular basis, but you never hear about it in the news. Every once in a while, we try to round up heroic tales of regular citizens acting with extraordinary courage.

Popeyes Robbery

Our first story took place in San Antonio. A father took his family to a simple dinner at a Popeyes restaurant. While they were enjoying the meal, a masked man entered the store and tried to rob it. Employees refused to open the register for him and several fled through the back.

Determined to get something for his effort, the robber turned his gun on our unnamed hero and his family. Well, the father didn’t like that, and as soon as the robber turned his back, the father pulled his concealed weapon and opened fire. The robber was pronounced dead at the scene when first responders later arrived. The sheriff’s department hailed the father as a hero for protecting everyone at the store.

This man’s red line was the same as it would be for any of us. He tried not to escalate the situation, but the robber made it clear that this man had to choose between the safety of his family and using his concealed weapon. He made the hard choice, but it was one that made his family and his community proud. We sure wish the mainstream media didn’t hide this pro-gun story from the nation.

Pizza Delivery

A very different tale unfolded in St. Louis. There, an unnamed pizza delivery man was just going about his day when two assailants hit him on the head and tried to rob him. He panicked and ran, and as he did so, they started shooting at him. He took cover behind his car and returned fire. One of the assailants was hit, and the other fled. The armed robber died before first responders arrived. Police confirmed that the death was justified, and the man was able to return to work delivering pizzas.

Some heroes shy from glamor. This man was assaulted and injured, and he still returned to work the same night. We might hope he was given a leave to recover, but his work ethic reflected the same quality of character that enabled him to keep his cool and take one more evil maniac out of this world.

Woman Saves Cop

Our last story of the day honors a female gun carrier. She was minding her own business and getting gas at a station in Dawsonville, GA. While pumping, a sheriff’s deputy rolled in with someone in the back. Apparently, he was trying to go above and beyond and give the stranger a ride to the gas station. Once there, the officer even tried to give the civilian some money for gas. That is when things turned ugly. The civilian brutally attacked the officer, savagely beating him and trying to take his gun.

Our unnamed heroine was having none of it and promptly shot the attacker. He ran away and tried to attack an elderly woman. At this point, several other bystanders decided to do the right thing and they were able to subdue the attacker. The attacker, officer and elderly woman were all treated for injuries and were ok.

The deputy later went on public record thanking the anonymous Samaritan for saving his life. It just goes to show that heroes come in all shapes and sizes, and concealed carry permits are at the heart of life-saving courage.

These are three short, simple stories that show that everyday citizens are saving lives every day. The last story even highlights how useless gun control measures are in preventing a large number of crimes. But, because we haven’t yet denied fundamental rights to our citizens, they were able to stop crime and save lives at every turn.

Check your local news outlets and you might be surprised to find that the same thing has happened near where you live. Better yet, have a cup of coffee or friendly meal with one of your local law enforcement officers. They’ll be able to tell you what news outlets are trying to hide. Average Americans are heroes — when they’re given the chance to do the right thing.

  1. The media has a long way to go before they can reach a level of respect that Americans demand. They are still involved in fake news, still avoiding THE news, and have their noses far up the liberals agenda!
