Media Silent on Another European Massacre

Do you want to know how amazing Trump’s America is? The biggest complaint from the incessant media is that he didn’t memorialize 9/11 enough. It’s either that or he noted that the hurricane Florence hitting the Carolinas is a big one. That’s it. That’s all they have to whine about.

Everything in America is great and improving right now. But, outside of our borders, things are not always so nice. In an effort to manipulate you and keep you in the dark, the media is criticizing Trump’s word choice in a severe weather warning instead of letting you know about a serious attack that happened in Paris over the weekend. Not to worry, we have you covered.

The Nightmare in Paris

It’s a story that is beginning to sound all too familiar in the city of love. At 11 p.m. on Sunday, people were playing a peaceful game of petanque. A mad, knife-wielding maniac brought that peace to a bitter end.

He initially stabbed two participants in the game. He then regrouped and stabbed several others. By the time the carnage was done, seven people were assaulted and one man was arrested. Authorities have largely kept details quiet. A final fatality report has not been issued, and the attacker’s name has not been released. What we do know is that victims were of multiple nationalities and that at least two remain in critical condition.

We also know that the weapon used was a knife between 10 and 11 inches long. It was able to cause massive damage in each attack. Other details are still missing, and the investigation is ongoing. Lastly, Paris officials have assured the public that this attack had no terrorist ties.

The Growing Problem in France

This is a tragic story on its own. When you add it to the context of Paris’s recent history, it’s another mark on a black record. Attacks of many kinds have been increasing in France’s largest city, and mass stabbings are starting to be a favorite among perpetrators. This is the third mass stabbing in as many months, and the death toll continues to rise.

The truly nightmarish part of the whole ordeal is best understood by looking at the most recent attack. The attacker initially only stabbed two people. After that, citizens in the area started pelting him with balls. Obviously, sporting balls aren’t the best weapons for self-defense, and they did not hinder the attacker. He kept stabbing.

So, people present began to chase him on foot. He fled, and while he did so, he stabbed two more people. A tragedy of two victims escalated into a massacre of seven because the people of France are not protected in their right to self-defense. If just one of the hundreds of onlookers had been armed, this wouldn’t be an international story.

A Predictably Silent Media

Then again, mainstream media seems to think that it isn’t an international story. They’ve kept their lips tightly sealed on the topic and have had nothing at all to say about any of it. You’re a savvy reader. You’re probably thinking that they don’t want to report on knife attacks because it undermines their gun-control narrative. You’re right, but there’s quite a bit more.

The attacker in this case is an Afghan national. That’s the trifecta. He’s from a Muslim-majority country (although his religious affiliation has not been made public), he’s an immigrant and he isn’t white. How could mainstream media report this story when it starkly opposes so many of their strongest claims?

The fact that it undermines the gun narrative is just too much for them to handle. So, they remain silent. They hope that we won’t hear about stories like this one so we will be unable to resist their propaganda.

That’s what is most important to understand. Tragedy is what the name implies: tragic. But, big stories also help us keep track of how things are working. The media has been happy to manipulate your view of big stories for decades. That would be bad enough, but they also thrive on emotionally manipulating their followers in order to push objectively false narratives to serve a political agenda.

Mainstream media genuinely wants to be an Orwellian institution. They are addicted to power, and they don’t care who has to die in order for them to retain it.

Thankfully, we have the means to stop them. It won’t be the government or open fighting that ends tyrannical media. It will be capitalism. If you don’t turn on their programs, order their prints or click on their online articles, they won’t receive revenue. Kill them with your wallet, and we can do our part to make America great again.
